May 16, 2017

Hello Parents and Students,

My apologies for not posting yesterday… I had to run right at 3:00 to look into a preschool for Arya.

So, we are on the final stretch of the 2016-2017 school year. As I told the students today, we have a lot of projects on the go (Project of Interest, Grid Art) and a few more projects around the corner (Science Mind Map, Paragraph Writing, etc.). At this point in the year, the nightly homework will begin to disappear (except for unfinished math) with he idea that the students should be working on projects and studying for any quiz or tests on the horizon. Parents, please help by checking-in with your child nightly to see that they are on a good pace with regards to finishing on time and that they are producing highy-quality work. Thanks!

*** I have asked the students to keep “fidget spinners” at home as they have become a distraction in the classroom. Mr. Macleod I believe also talked about this issue in the latest Boundary E-news. If spinners are used in class I will collect them and send them to the office for parents to collect… thank you parents for helping with this issue***

*** There is a math test on Thursday… today we went over the topics (also listed on the “Test” link) and tomorrow the students will be provided with a study period***

Have a wonderful evening!

Mr. Meyer
